General Summary:

We are looking for a Plant Manager to join our expanding organization as we begin to build out of our new Tulsa location. This person will provide direction and leadership to ensure all manufacturing-operating objectives are accomplished in accordance with the company's financial targets. 

This position involves a new factory start-up which will require training prior to plant opening at existing facilities located in Wisconsin and North Carolina. Significant travel will be required during this period.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision and development of manufacturing engineering, materials, production scheduling, and supervisory personnel
  • Develop and own current/future state value stream maps and implementation plans.
  • Planning, monitoring, executing, and communicating the daily, monthly, and annual production goals
  • Ensure the maintenance and maximum utilization of production machinery and equipment
  • Enforcement of corporate safety and housekeeping policies and guidelines including use of appropriate protective equipment
  • Provide input regarding overall plant flow
  • Continuous improvement of productivity and efficiencies through effective employee relations, employee involvement, manpower planning, lean manufacturing principles, materials planning, and synchronized manufacturing
  • Optimize customer service levels through schedule attainment and on-time shipping metrics
  • Develop long-term strategic plans for achieving operational excellence in support of business unit, company sales growth targets, and profitability levels
  • Provide overall direction to manufacturing engineering function to improve productivity including plant layout, process flow, routings/labor standards, work methods, capital equipment, and quality levels
  • Monitor production and sales activity to pinpoint variances to budget and make recommendations regarding corrective actions and revised plans
  • Review and manage salary expenditures in the form of hourly overtime or salaried merit increases
  • Represent manufacturing with outside visitors such as company tours, applicants in the interview process or vendors/suppliers as needed
  • Develop, communicate, and deliver key performance indicators for shop and office employees
  • Work with leadership to resolve conflicts, improve operations, and maximize material utilization

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • Master’s degree in a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 5 -10 years of experience required
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the company
  • Lean manufacturing concept is required
  • Experience with continuous improvement projects is a plus
  • Ability to work to in a flexible work environment and adapt to change quickly
  • SAP experience preferred but not required
