 The primary responsibility of the ACAP Systems Manager will be to identify, define and manage the business unit systems for Dampers and Louvers.  This management position takes a leadership role and works with all of the business unit departments and locations as well as the coordination, communication and collaboration between the system team and shared service information technology department.  Management responsibility for business unit systems, configuration management and computer aided product selection (CAPS) resources.  Other responsibilities include working with other business unit and shared service departments to ensure alignment with corporate initiatives such as SAP, CAPS, customer facing systems, direct order entry, manufacturing automation and inventory management.    

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, define, justify and prioritize a portfolio of small to large-scale projects required for the maintenance of existing processes/systems or the development of improved processes/systems
  • Accurately identify, define and communicate business requirements
  • Effectively manage projects from initiation through closing; including scope, timeline, resources & risk management
  • Communicate product configuration and business unit systems needs to the centralized IT department as needed
  • Work closely with other business unit managers, IT analysts and programmers to implement changes in an efficient and timely manner
  • Supervise, lead, direct, and train department staff  
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the entire order to cash process and how changes influence the process flow and data integrity
  • Often responsible for identifying, documenting and implementing changes that need to be made in current procedures or processes 

Business Unit Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and influence to all systems throughout the entire order-to-cash process (customer facing, order processing, configuration, manufacturing, and shipment)
  • Actively work with Damper and Architectural Louver management teams to develop and execute strategic plans
  • Monitor and modify business unit systems strategy focusing on long term growth and strategic positioning.
  • Inspire and develop a systems team obsessed with continuously delivering and unmatched customer experience and superior products.

Job Qualifications

Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.

Between 5-7 years of work experience is required.

Must have the ability to work in both a collaborative environment and independently.
