As an Application Engineer in the central marketing team for Global Ventilation Solutions, you will assist the sales support team, conduct presentations for the whole business unit and provide input to the business unit based on customer encounters.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and deliver product education for reps and customers as part of our ongoing promotion and launch activities. This includes sessions and tours in the Education Center, Mobile Learning Center, webinars, or on location as requested by reps or for trade shows
  • Provide application engineering support to our sales support team, as they field calls and emails associated with upfront selling, quoting, special design requests and field problems
  • Facilitate effective communication with the business units’ application and engineering teams as needed for question/problem resolution, shared efforts for marketing, CAPS, training, site visits, etc.
  • Shared product application knowledge for motors, controls, VFD technologies
  • Provide technical support via phone and e-mail for both internal and external sales people in the areas of product selection and application
  • Communicate solutions for unique applications including design & special pricing
  • May travel to resolve field problems
  • Find solutions to field application problems
  • Provide content for the development and updating of product literature
  • Gather information for market studies
  • Work with engineering to develop scope for enhancements on existing products
  • Evaluates components for quality, reliability and performance and advise engineering and purchasing as to those components which might enhance the product
  • May assist with planning/coordination and attendance of trade shows
  • Coordinate Computer Aided Product Selection (CAPS) planning, testing, and development

What you'll need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Between 0-3 years of work experience is required
  • Mechanical system design and product understanding
