Marketing Communications Co-op

We’re looking for a driven, ambitious individual who wants to create a career in marketing.

The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Corporate Marketing Department with a variety of marketing projects including communications, event planning, digital and social media initiatives. We provide training, guidance and support, as well as the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in various areas of marketing.

 

Responsibilities:

Support corporate marketing team in daily administrative activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks.

Assist with writing and editing communications copy (e.g. press releases, sales bulletins, publications, website, and social media posts).

Assist with preparations for corporate marketing events including National Sales Meeting and tradeshows.

Help maintain website content and provide support to social media efforts.

Help coordinate the copy and design of promotional material by working with various internal and external teams (e.g. corporate departments, business units, ad agency).

 

Requirements:

Undergraduate student majoring in marketing, communications or related field.

Solid understanding of different marketing techniques. 

Experience in communications, event planning and related marketing activities.

Knowledgeable with digital media strategies and various social media platforms.

Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and content management systems is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to multi-task, take initiative and absorb information quickly.

Strong attention to detail.
