General Summary:

Assists in the growth of product sales for given channel. Work includes product comparisons and competitive analysis, account development and support, product shows and training sessions, marketing and customer service.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical assistance to customers, engineers, contractors, manufacturer representatives and internal sales force in the selection and application of products sold.
  • Provides assistance to customers in the pricing of our products and collaborates with team to develop pricing to customers.
  • Works closely with engineering to implement new products, and coordinate planned changes within customer portfolios.
  • Provides input on product literature, and marketing as it relates to new and changed product offerings.
  • Assist with implementation and coordination of EDI and other order methods required by customers.
  • Maintains account relationships with assigned business partners.
  • Works with the proper engineering/manufacturing personnel to correct any problems in a timely fashion to eliminate future problems with products sold.
  • Evaluate product offerings as they relate to quality, reliability and performance and the products ability to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Attends product shows and calls on specific customers as required to give them the support they need to promote our products.  Will include preparation and presentation of product sales information.
  • Becomes technically familiar with competitive products through catalogs, online materials and trade shows to be able to assist in the selection and application of products.
  • Customer Service - Technical product and application support along with order coordination and status inquiries, move-up requests, large order coordination, etc.
  • Scorecard and Key Performance Indicator activities for individual distributor metrics, such as tracking and communication of On Time Shipping and Past Due Expediting, Debit Memo and Warranty review and approval, Short Payment Review, requesting and providing Proof of Deliveries and other communication.
  • New Product and Annual Marketing Activities – External work with Distributor, such as template completion, catalog page, sell sheet development, website review and approvals. Internal coordination to support external efforts including template information from engineering, IOM creation and changes, label implementation process, certification attainment and coordination and coordination/creation of IAN’s, as needed.
  • Product Line Expansions and changes, coordinate new products additions and changes to existing lines, assist with pricing activities and more.
  • Parts programs by distributor. Identification and implementation of parts that would be required to support maintenance of product in the field. Similar to product line expansion work.
  • Sales Meetings, Tradeshows and Special Events – Develop seller training and marketing materials, giveaways, booth layout; design, product demo’s/samples, booth graphics, shipping coordination to shows, etc.
  • Coordinate the creation of marketing flyers, catalogs and other promotional materials associated with shows and general selling efforts of the various distributors.
  • Support forecast activities for distributors on an annual and monthly basis.
  • Purchasing component forecast and order policy oversight with supply chain team to insure we have appropriate inventory to support projected sales, particularly as it relates to seasonal products.
  • MDM/PIM coordinate and/or assist with new and updated information for the distributor sites and materials.


Job Qualifications:

Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.


Between 1-3 years of work experience is required.
