Production Supervisor Co-op

General Summary: Provide supervision to one or more production areas.  Support corporate net sales objectives by striving to continually meet or exceed company on-time shipping goals while maintaining superior product quality, safety and employee relations. 

Responsibilities: Assist with supervision of hourly production employees.  Answer daily inquiries and assist in solving shop floor problems.  Motivate employees to reach the daily production plan for their respective area of responsibility.  Coordinate the availability of parts and raw materials to ensure production delays do not occur.  Ensure safety practices are executed, including the wearing of the protective equipment by area personnel when appropriate.  Maintain work areas to meet or exceed company housekeeping and safety standards.  Address quality or process problems by coordination and communication with the appropriate engineering staff.  Coordinate with other production supervisors and managers to minimize overtime costs and meet on-time shipment goals.  Develop an understanding of the areas of scheduling and materials as they relate to the overall day to day operation. Identify and/or participate in continuous improvement opportunities including value stream mapping, 5S, and kaizen events.  Complete routine administrative tasks such as completing time and attendance forms, reviewing the vacation schedule, etc.  Coordinate with maintenance personnel the upkeep and repair of tools and machinery to maximize operating capacity and longevity.


Logistics Co-op

General Summary

Responsible for supporting Transportation Specialist/Operations team in identifying and implementing cost effective logistics solutions through the extensive compiling and analysis of data.


Assist in the use of the 3PL Business Intelligence tool to gather data. Complete the requested analysis for the data pulled from the BI tool. Assist in development of standard reports with 3PL. Assist in the payment of freight invoices. Assist in updating the Fuel Surcharge costs. Assist in updating routing spreadsheet for LTL & TL preferred carriers. Assist Purchasing with inbound freight and expedite when required. Assist Purchasing to effectively move inbound freight and expedite when required. Document Standard Operating Procedures for processes assigned.


Materials Specialist Co-op

General Summary Assit the Strategic Sourcing Group in identifying and executing inventory reduction projects, reducing inventory cost, improving flow of product through manufacturing and distrubution facilities. Support day to day inventory management activities.

Responsibilities Serve as a technical resource for Greenheck's purchasing, manufacturing, and sourcing departments. Coordinate stocking requirements with material specialist at other campus facilities as well as purchasing team. Monitor Excess project/sales stock. Work to assure integration between Materials Specialist and buyers on new products and changes in purchased components. Evaluate and make recommendations on Safety Stock and Rounding Values. Lead and implement inventory reduction projects. Analyzes the E&O for inventory trends and implement corrective action steps. Schedule and lead monthly inventory meetings with each BU to include the BU Analyst, Eng Manager, Materials, Marketing Manager and Operations. Prepare and deliver shop floor paperwork related to the warehouse management and inventory management function. Determine what paperwork should be produced and when. Assist in monitoring activities to ensure execution processes are in alignment with the system in regards to inventory accuracy.
