GENERAL SUMMARY:
Our Customer Facing Systems Analyst will act as the liaison between business units and IT to configure Greenheck’s Computer Aided Selection Program (CAPS). Leverage mechanical aptitude and product knowledge to support BU needs. Create and maintain documentation and user guides. Participate in testing and drive consistency. This is a remote based role.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Provide CAPS support on program functionality for external and internal users.
- Involvement with CAPS Development team, CAPS Business Unit teams, SAP Sales Admin group and the Marketing Communications teams to insure successful program deployment and synergies. This includes work related to CAPS Releases, Job file fixing and Overall testing.
- Conduct CAPS demonstrations for external and internal users as requested.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to drive the design and development of technology solutions.
- Ensure all products and services meet company standards and end-user requirements.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to resolve and successfully eliminate complex issues in a timely manner and perform root cause analysis.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously (independently and part of an Agile team) to improve the company’s applications (new functionalities, enhancements, design, and products).
- Leverage leading technology expertise to propose appropriate solution options.
- Clearly define and communicate functional and non-functional requirements. Able to ask questions, listen to responses, and document resulting requirements. Must professionally present self in written communications, meetings, team settings, and customer interactions.
- Lead and collaborate on iterative solution design and prototyping efforts as needed.
- Coordinate solution delivery activities across scrum teams and vendors as required.
- Leverage subject matter expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting complex system/user issues to drive resolution and determine root cause.
- Coordinate issue resolution efforts across peer support groups, technical support teams, and vendors as required. Interface across all organization levels comfortably including internal business customers, technical support resources, and external business partners.
- Relate system solutions to broader organizational strategies and objectives
- May need to work with programmers to clarify requirements during development.
- Portal maintenance from a marketing perspective
- Support corporate marketing efforts for new and updated projects
- Assists in research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems
- Ability to work on identified solution to a problem and test solution against all aspects of problem as stated
- Create, document and share CAPS functionality information for external and internal support areas.
- Continuously update documentation to keep up with evolving business needs and systems. Documents business processes and systems in order to standardize, automate, and improve efficiencies in the functional areas supported. Create and maintain application installation and troubleshooting guides for high level programs.
- Creation of standard technical design specifications from functional requirements including system use case diagrams, data flow diagrams, system design models, pseudo code, etc. Some programming knowledge is desirable. Works closely with programmers during application development.
- Minimal travel required in this role
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in testing and programming.
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer and phone. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The person is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. There is an occasional need for walking short distances. Work may be performed in company’s setting, home, or hybrid.
