Your Opportunity:

Greenheck Group is looking for a highly motivated Engineering student that will contribute in implementing Industrial Engineering and Lean principles in our manufacturing processes. In this role, you will apply Lean Manufacturing Principles in design and integration of new and existing production systems and business processes. This position will allow you to impact our business while learning about our company and culture. 


What you’ll be doing:

  • Establish and maintain facility layouts and work measurement standards for manufacturing, assembly, and support operations with consideration for work methods and ergonomics. 
  • Develop processes and procedures to enhance cost, quality, and customer service while ensuring safety and compliance with government regulations. 
  • Develop and document best work methods to aid with training, improve quality, and increase productivity. 
  • Design equipment layouts to coordinate activities and production planning to ensure products meet quality standards while minimizing production problems and costs. 
  • Preform various work measurement studies to improve scheduling accuracy, labor cost accuracy, and identify potential improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing routes. 
  • Participate in process improvement teams. 
  • Specify and justify capital expenditures. 
  • Purchase and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations. 
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment. 
  • Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, cell layout and machinery efficiency. 
  • Provide summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning. 
  • Participate in Lean initiatives. 


What you should have:

  • Enrollment in a related bachelor's degree program and on track to graduate in the next 2 years or less. 
  • Experience in an industrial environment is preferred. 
  • Experience or coursework related to process documentation is preferred.
