General Summary:

The Testing Grade 4 position is responsible for the final review of completed units.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify work to be performed via MII work center priority
  • Conform to all safety guidelines while operating and performing duties
  • Prep for unit testing which includes high voltage electrical hookup, sensor installation, gas line hookup, network or remote display controller hookup
  • Power up units, verify voltage, and correct phase rotation
  • Record all sensor readings (CO2, humidity, temperature, pressure, etc.)
  • Record supply, exhaust, return air fan RPM, and amperage readings
  • Program heat wheel VFD, rotation, rotation sensor, and amperage reading
  • Must be knowledgeable and able to perform other jobs in other pay grades
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems of units/diagnose refrigeration issues
  • Maintain daily housekeeping
  • Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED, required
  • Forklift certification, preferred
  • 1-2 years of electrical or HVAC experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of gas type, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Ability to operate basic hand/power tools and read measuring devices, preferred
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and other instructions
  • Ability to distinguish wire gauges and types
  • Effective communication skills (verbally and written)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure
