General Summary:

Provide CAD application development support using standard, well-defined methods to support the business unit processes.  Development support may include third party software or in-house developed applications. This position is able to develop new or revise Inventor custom applications and design templates to make refinements, increase operating efficiency or improve present techniques.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


Business Unit Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineering, drafting, manufacturing, business process personnel and developers within the business unit and IT to develop and implement an automated method that uses customer facing systems data to produce full 3D CAD models along with the necessary files that are required in the fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Restructure and consolidate existing Inventor component and assembly design templates
  • Develop a solid understanding of system integration within Innovent’s quote to cash business process.
  • Identify and communicate inefficiencies within the design workflow and work with the Systems team to implement solutions


Job Qualifications: 

  • Associate degree with 2 – 4 years of related work experience or a 4-year degree
  • Experience with Inventor 3D CAD software is strongly preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD software is strongly preferred
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes is strongly preferred


Business Unit Specific Qualifications:

  • SAP experience required
  • Possess an understanding of databases (tables, records, table relationships)
  • Ability to create and maintain programs using iLogic
  • Develop the skillset to update current design programs using VB language and VBA
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET environment
  • Ability to store and manage code using GIT repository
  • Familiarity with Innovent products and business processes
