Position Summary:

Greenheck Group is currently hiring an Electrical Intern for the summer of 2023 for 1st shift in our Minneapolis, MN location. Electrical Intern pay starts at $23.18/hour. The primary functions is to properly mount and assemble components, pull and land wires to ensure proper operation of electrical components according to electrical schematic, customer and engineering specifications

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Operation of electrical components according to electrical schematic, customer and engineering specifications.

  • Knowledge of single phase, three phase, and high/low voltage circuitry.

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.

  • Ability to distinguish wire gauges and types.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Excellent math and schematic reading skills

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to use basic hand tools.

  • Ability to read measuring devices.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to read and understand instructions.

  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks.

  • Be adaptable enough to learn the necessary functions in a timely manner and perform them within accepted output and quality levels.

  •  Must follow standard safe practices that apply to all activities.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • In addition to a HS/GED

  • Must be enrolled in a college, university, or technical school

  • Basic math, reading and computer skills

  • Experience reading a tape measure

  • Experience reading blue prints

  • Previous experience in sheet metal manufacturing, farming or the military is a plus.

  • Applicants must be able to work overtime as needed. 

 

Physical Requirements of the Job:

  • Ability to move/lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand/sit for a minimum of 8-12 hours a day.

  • Requires frequent lifting, routine bending, leaning, reaching, kneeling, etc.

  • Wear the necessary PPE for the position.
