General Summary:

Responsible for providing support and coordination in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of the Human Resources department.  The main responsibility of the HR Coordinator is to assist the HR management team in every aspect of human resources including workforce planning and staffing, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides administrative support to the HR department to include, but not limited to: entering performance reviews and reprimands, administration of the company uniforms, I9 tracking, unemployment paperwork, and entering time off requests.
  • Acts as a resource to employees by answering questions regarding human resources or labor relations related topics.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate information on the company employment website.  Develops job postings from job descriptions.  Composes and places employment advertisements on various media sources.  Coordinates attendance at job fairs or other recruitment activities as needed.
  • Primary contact for full cycle recruitment of production positions.   This includes screening and interviewing of applicants, the coordination of pre-employment testing, physicals, drug screens, and background checks, and making job offers to applicants. 
  • Responsible for the production hiring process and timeline to meet the demands of the organization in a proactive manner.  Ensures that guidelines are followed and that we respond to candidates in a timely manner.
  • Works with management to determine manpower requirements and keeps the manpower job postings and documentation up to date.
  • Welcomes employees on their first day by completing new hire paperwork and facilitating new hire orientation.
  • May assist in the recruitment of professional and technical employees.  Involved with screening applications, conducting phone interviews and coordinating interviews. 
  • Maintains applicant flow logs and efficient search files.  Ensures accurate records are maintained in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
  • Participates in college recruitment and community job fairs to find skilled talent that fit our staffing needs.
  • Works closely with staffing agencies to staff temporary production positions.  Establishes and maintains relationships with temporary agencies in the area.
  • Completes employment offers and paperwork for temporary employees moving to regular, full time positions.
  • Assists in the documentation of company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Assists HR management team in the areas of compensation and benefits, employee relations, and training and development.
  • Performs miscellaneous clerical functions and special projects as assigned.
  • Back-up to reception area.

 

Job Qualifications: 

  • Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.
  • Between 1-3 years of work experience is required.
