Greenheck Group is currently hiring to grow our weld team on 2nd shift. The starting pay is $23.87/hour and you will receive an additional $1.50 shift differential for working on 2nd shift.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • The primary functions are to layout, fit up, and weld various assemblies to be used in the construction of our air handling equipment.

  • Set up and operate equipment effectively and safely (welder, torch, plasma cutter, grinder)

  • Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements

  • Size up components and verify they are within specified tolerances

  • Set up weld equipment for specific task to be performed

  • Weld components using proper equipment and techniques. Grind and finish welds to make aesthetically appealing

  • Operate material handling equipment as needed, based on safety guidelines

  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks and preventative maintenance tasks

  • High level of focus and concentration level to ensure quality work and to avoid safety hazards


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Must be 18+

  • Between 6-12 months welding experience

  • Basic math, reading and computer skills

  • Ability to pass welding test on material in use

  • Ability to operate basic hand/power tools and read measuring devices

  • Ability distinguish the various thickness and types of material

  • Strong attention to detail and high focus on safety and quality


Physical Demands:


  • Must lift up to 50-75 lbs. on a routine basis

  • Stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day

  • Continuous lifting, kneeling, pulling, bending, etc.
