Position Summary:

Greenheck Group is currently hiring for a Refrigeration Prepper in their Minneapolis, MN location. Refrigeration Prep starts at $17.43/hour plus a $0.75 shift differential.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review refrigeration schematics and BOMS. Prepare compressors, assemblies, coaxial condensers and coils.
  • Ability to identify refrigeration components.
  • Ability to properly mount and install refrigeration or water system components.
  • Ability to read and understand refrigeration schematics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
  • Ability to operate overhead crane and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read measuring devices.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Ability to distinguish pipe sizes and types.
  • Ability to braze with different alloys and metals.
  • Must pass in-house brazing test.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks.
  • Be adaptable enough to learn the necessary functions in a timely manner and perform them within accepted output and quality levels.
  • Must follow standard safe practices that apply to all activities.
  • Cross train in grades 5 and 6 classifications.
  • Refrigeratoin Prep starts at $17.43/hour, plus $0.75/hour for second shift.
  • High School or GED required.
  • Between 3-6 months of prior Refrigeration experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Continuous movement – lifting, bending, etc.
  • Work requires strong attention to detail and a high focus on safety and quality.
  • High concentration levels and a strong awareness of surroundings.
  • Basic math and computer skills required.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Ability to read measuring devices.
  • Time management skills.
  • Moderate analytical skills.

 

Requirements

  • Must be 18+
  • A stable work history without significant gaps of employment
  • Basic math, reading and computer skills
  • Experience reading a tape measure
  • Experience reading blue prints
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours daily.
  • Requires frequent lifting, routine bending, leaning, reaching, kneeling, etc.
  • Previous experience in sheet metal manufacturing, farming or the military is a plus.
  • Applicants must be able to work overtime as needed. 

 

Applicants must pass a computer skills test for consideration after interview. As well as pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, physical, and criminal background check if offered employment.
