About this opportunity:
As the Systems Analyst, you are responsible for the implementation and support of the Finance area solutions (SAP Finance and Controlling) in a manufacturing environment. Experience in SAP FICO is required to provide guidance and insights to project team members and the business. A well-rounded understanding of general accounting principles, cost accounting, financial accounting, and reporting. In addition to the project-based initiatives, this position will also be responsible for the day-to-day production support tasks. This is a remote based role.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to resolve issues, make enhancements, or create new solutions for.
- Controlling (CO) – General Controlling, Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Product Cost Controlling, Profitability Analysis, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Order and Activity Based Costing.
- Financial Accounting (FI) – General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Intercompany, Commission and Tax.
- Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) – Collections, Credit, Dispute, Treasury and Risk Management
- Performs all analyst tasks required across the Software Development Lifecycle, including eliciting and documenting requirements, designs configuration, creation of master data, testing scenarios, implementation plans, validation, data analyses, and develop training documents.
- Create moderately complex, to complex technical design specifications from functional requirements including system use case diagrams, data flow diagrams, system design models, pseudo code etc. Programming knowledge is required. Minimal interaction with programmer should be necessary during development.
- Ability to work as a member of a project team or manage medium to large-sized projects within their area of expertise. Understands and can apply project management methodologies. Ability to establish project priorities and deadlines.
- Meet with business users, project leaders and management to discuss and plan guidelines and criteria for project plan, timeline, and requirements.
- Build solid relationships with peers and customers. Effectively train end users on processes and transactions. Collaborate and make formal presentations to others in IT as well as business stakeholders.
- Constructively offer feedback and ideas for improvements in processes, systems, and areas of a technical nature.
- Provide ongoing system support and maintenance.
Job Qualifications:
- Associate degree with a minimum of 4 years of related work experience or a four-year degree with a minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- 3+ years of business experience in IT and accounting or finance environment working with end-users to translate business requirements into system specifications.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO with main expertise in SAP CO (Controlling) in an SAP ECC environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP CO (Controlling) in the areas of Product Costing (Product Cost by Order and by Sales Order), Actual Costing, Profitability Analysis (Costing and Account Based), Profit Center Accounting, Internal Order and Cost Center Accounting.
- Experience with at least 1 or 2 full lifecycle SAP implementation.
- Experience and very good understanding of the SAP CO (Controlling) integration with other SAP modules - Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Production Planning, Logistics and Plant Maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of SAP structures, configuration standards, object dependencies and tables.
- Working experience and knowledge with Vertex Sales Tax Q Series, SAP Central Finance, S4 HANA, BPC is a plus, not required.
