General Summary:

Support Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales with product configuration creation and maintenance to ensure optimal flow of information in the company’s business systems. Work with internal customers to research, develop, modify and maintain information systems.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of SAP functionality within the Variant Configuration (VC), Material Master (MM) and Production Planning (PP) modules to create and maintain product configuration logic
  • Utilize if-then logic to establish master routings and BOM selection where possible to minimize ongoing maintenance.
  • Work with all functions of the business unit to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot all areas related to product configuration.
  • Ability to create and maintain business process documents along with the ability to read and understand documentation created by others. 
  • Assists in research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems.
  • Ability to work as a member of a project team.  Able to manage assigned tasks and provide estimated time of completion.
  • Possess basic business communication skills. Is able to ask questions, listen to responses, and document resulting requirements. Is able to professionally present self in written communications, meetings, team settings, and team interactions.
  • Provide technical support to engineering, manufacturing and sales personnel to improve system work flow and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Assist in identifying, developing and testing system processes and documenting procedures.
  • Understands and recognizes change management issues and works with others to resolve.
  • Assist in identifying, defining and prioritizing the development and implementation of process/system improvements
  • Assist in communicating product configuration and business unit systems needs to the centralized IT department as needed
  • Participate in software testing relative to product content and general functionality

 

Business Unit Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop a solid understanding of system integration within Innovent’s quote to cash business process.
  • Engage in activities to support and maintain current systems, including issue management, user acceptance testing, communication and change management.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities simultaneously with some supervision.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Associate degree with 2 – 4 years of related work experience or a 4-year degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate through all levels of the organization. 
  • Experience with SAP modules PP & VC
  • Knowledge of MS office, with Intermediate level of Excel.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, advancements in technology, and Microsoft’s product offerings and enhancements
  • Ability to gather feedback from key stakeholders to influence solution design and approach
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities simultaneously with some supervision.
  • Preferred Experience with:
    • SAP Material Master (MM)
    • Azure DevOps
    • C# Programming Language
    • Object Oriented and Functional Programming Logic
