General Summary:

Partner with domestic and international business units, reps and customers in application of the company’s credit policy while maintaining and creating goodwill.


Responsibilities: 

Domestic Responsibilities

  • Perform credit checks by performing an investigation and analyzing relevant information.
  • Compare credit check analyses with the customer’s payment history and current account balance with Greenheck to determine current credit status.
  • Release sales orders for shipment or production once a favorable credit status has been determined. 
  • Provide credit information and resolve credit-related problems with other departments within the company.
  • Negotiate the terms of a sale and payment terms up front based on current credit status.
  • Learn, apply and provide input on company credit policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute reports within the organization regarding credit-related issues and statistics.
  • Contact representatives and customers to resolve their credit standing with the company.
  • Manage and place liens and bonds based upon deadlines.
  • Provide training to internal sales employees.
  • Review, recommend and send files to collections or attorneys.
  • Recommend accounts for write off after exhausting all collections efforts.
  • Submit files for write offs.
  • Initiate payment of commissions when requested and approved by representatives.
  • Attend meetings related to credit, as needed.
  • Assist on project work (Pit stops, JIRA tickets, etc.) within the credit area, as needed.


International Responsibilities (in addition to the domestic responsibilities)

  • Manage, analyze and revise letters of credit, direct collection letters and assignments of proceeds.
  • Assist with the credit insurance program.
  • International travel may be required, but very limited.

 

Business Unit Specific Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Manage assigned BU; management of A/R, DSO, cash goal, provide training, prepare reports as needed, attend BU meetings as required, support and collaborate with BU managers on complicated situations to find common ground.


Job Qualifications: 

  • Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.
  • Previous experience in the credit and collection area required.  
  • Spanish proficiency desired, but not required.
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail desired. 
  • Ability to negotiate, communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to meet month-end deadlines, including working overtime as needed.
