Your Opportunity:

In this role you will provide application development support for relatively complex applications using standard approaches, or for less complex applications may use new approaches. Development support may include third party software or in-house developed applications. This position is able to develop new or revise existing applications to make refinements, increase operating efficiency or improve present techniques.  Increasingly higher quality and timely deliverables are expected from this position due to their past experience with established development procedures and knowledge of systems requirements.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develops, modifies, and maintains application software to support internal and external business processes of Greenheck. Understands specifications, and assists, where needed, in developing technical specifications. Creates application documentation that is clear, succinct, accurate, and appropriately detailed. 
  • Assists in the creation or maintenance of application installation and troubleshooting guides for programs designed/developed. 
  • Troubleshoots day-to-day application issues and provides debugging support as needed.
  • With guidance from systems analysts, can understand and translate system requirements/technical specifications in the development process.  Assists in formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex applications.
  • Ability to begin to understand basic root-cause of problems and propose possible solutions within the scope of current Greenheck systems. Test and identify best solutions and create solution documents.
  • Ability work as a member of a project team. Able to manage tasks assigned to them and provide estimated time of completion. Understands and can apply project management methodologies.
  • Frequently communicates with the business/system analysts in the development process to discuss the system specifications and gain a better understanding of the business processes. 
  • Has good interpersonal skills and is able to build solid relationships with analysts, peers and customers. Can professionally present themselves in written communications, meetings, team settings, and customer interactions. Has the ability to help train end users on new applications or enhancements to existing applications.

 

What you should have:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio development environment (C#)
  • C# programming language
  • XSLT, XML
  • Object oriented programming logic
  • Systems analysis and design
  • Web service development
  • JavaScript (Angular)

 

 

Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.

 

Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.

 

Must have the ability to work in both a collaborative environment and independently.
