General Summary

At Greenheck, we understand the value of high performance. As an Automation & Controls Technician, you will be an integral part of an elite team of technicians. This team is tasked to provide continual support of all Greenheck’s operations. To support operations, the Automation & Controls Team provides round-the-clock service. The team occasionally works overtime, and is responsive to unforeseen situations which may cause a change in schedule.

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety practices are executed, including use of protective equipment as required.  Maintain work areas to meet or exceed company housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting, repair and development of manufacturing systems, including but not limited to:
    • Electrical distribution
    • PLC, HMI, and windows based operator interface
    • Industrial communication
    • Process controls and calibration equipment
    • Electronic and electromechanical systems
    • CO² and Fiber laser
    • Various motion control and robotics
    • Modern and legacy controllers
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on highly technical equipment including PM work orders on laser resonators and the entire beam path.
  • Assist the maintenance mechanics and provide direction on diagnostic and repair exercises relating to issues of a highly technical nature.
  • Utilize the Computer Maintenance Management System to maintain equipment records and work order history. 
  • Work with Automation & Control team members to ensure proper communication and professionalism.
  • Order parts and services as needed.
  • Proactively support continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop and administer maintenance reliability technologies to equipment and processes.
  • Create standard operating procedures for technical processes.
  • Travel occasionally, and sometimes on a short notice to support Greenheck Manufacturing throughout US and Mexico.
