Your Opportunity:

As a Greenheck Group Corporate Accountant, you are responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering financial transactions.

 

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Prepare asset, liability, and equity account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with Company policy.
  • Prepare and analyze select operating and financial reports; responsible for the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the reports.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and/or time-saving initiatives and identify alternatives when these options are cost prohibitive.
  • Analyze financial data and make financial recommendations.
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date written instructions for all tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintain appropriate internal control documentation, as applicable, and adhere to formally documented control procedures, to ensure on-going compliance with Company policies.
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommends more efficient processes, and follow through to completion.
  • Provide accounting and financial counsel by researching and interpreting data.
  • Train/Mentor new team members and serve as a resource for facility and corporate related questions.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential. 
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Responsible for fixed asset area, including the closure process.
  • Provide required information to the external auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Provide financial counsel to one or more shared service areas. 

 

What it takes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with +3 years of related work experience.
  • CPA certification is desired, but not required.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and statistical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook. SAP experience a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational and time management skills.
  • Positive and professional demeanor, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact effectively with a variety of team members in various departments and job levels.
  • Additionally, candidate should possess the ability to work in a changing, fast paced environment while displaying teamwork and communication skills.  Candidate must be able to work independently and efficiently, with acute attention to details and deadlines.

 

Work arrangement: 

  • Position will be on site in our WI location for the first year, during the onboarding period. Based on work performance and training, the role can transition to a hybrid position with on site responsibilities at our WI campus as needed.
