Summary:

Provides cost accounting support within Finance through participation in many different areas to establish an understanding of the organization, accounting practices, and company policy. Works closely with plant management and business unit support to maintain accurate standard costs, control inventory and spending, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.  Serves as a resource on projects when needed. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Product costing
  • Capital project justifications and post audits
  • Inventory management
  • Manufacturing cost control
  • Financial analysis
  • General accounting 
  • Provide support on projects as assigned

 

Job Qualifications: 

  • Four year degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related fields.
  • 0-3 years of related work experience in Finance, Accounting or general business related fields
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and support personnel within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture to troubleshoot unreasonableness in the numbers.
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports and documents.
  • General understanding of standard costing in a manufacturing environment.
  • General understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • General understanding of a manufacturing business model.
