General Summary:

Lead a small team to support the design and  manufacturing operations, with focus on equipment electrical design, component selection, and assembly.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the manufacturing operations involved in equipment wiring/assembly and the electrical panel assembly.
  • On a Job-by-Job basis
    • Oversee generation of complete manufacturing electrical documentation package (electrical, and assembly drawings, parts specifications, bills of material, labeling and markings for the equipment, etc.)
    • Generate electrical layouts for the equipment and control panels.
    • Definition and procurement of DDC controls
    • Backup as needed in programming DDC controls for individual jobs.
  • Ensure electrical code compliance on all products.
  • Assist as needed in defining test procedures and quality control documents for all equipment
  • Maintain agency listings as needed.
  • Provide consultation and training for sales and customer service personnel as needed.
  • Infrequent travel to support other manufacturing locations (<10%)


Job Qualifications: 

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • 1-5 years of work experience is required.
  • Extensive working knowledge of National Electrical Code
  • Experience with electrical system design with voltages up to 600v, three phase.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with in-depth hands-on involvement
  • Experience with control systems and DDC controls - installation, setup, and programming.
  • Experience with actuators, motor controls, VFD’s, and DC drives
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other electrical schematic software
  • Familiarity with HVAC or Building Systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and management skills
  • Commitment to quality and meeting deliverables
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Tasks involve the creation of new procedures, processes or relationships.  Often responsible for identifying changes that need to be made in current procedures.
