Greenheck Group is adding an Electrical Technician to their Manufacturing Excellence/Automation team. This person will design, program, assemble, and install electrical controls used in machines and tooling systems throughout the company to minimize machine down-time and maximize operating efficiency.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design controls for machines and tool systems that are either built and/or designed by our Machine Development Center (MDC) or those rebuilt by MDC for use in local and remote production facilities.
- Write software for the PLC, motion controller, Robotic controller, or the CNC controller used in the machines.
- Maintain good working knowledge of the latest technology as it may benefit Greenheck.
- Build and wire control panels, and assist in the wiring of machines.
- Support the implementation of new electrical controls by troubleshooting malfunctions at start-up and once the machine is in production.
- Develop written documentation and diagrams/drawings for electrical control panels to be used for maintenance purposes once the machine is operational.
- Support Maintenance Technicians troubleshooting MDC built machines and electrical controls.
- Assist product development engineering staff with the design of electrical controls as needed in the design of new products and/or the redesign of existing products.
- May occasionally travel to Greenheck remote facilities to support MDC built machines and electrical controls.
- May occasionally visit job-sites to provide technical support on product models using electrical controls and systems.
Job Qualifications:
- Work requires extensive technical or specialized training such as that which would be acquired in the first two or three years of college or technical school.
- Between 1-3 years of work experience is required.
- Moderate analytical ability required. Analysis requires research to obtain new information to completely analyze problematic data. Interpretation of data to identify trends in situations where the problems are complex.
