Greenheck’s people-focused culture has driven the initiative to add an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to our Shared Services team. The overall focus for our EHS Manager is to ensure regulatory compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations at a federal, state and local level and to provide support and resources to all business unit’s in support of Greenheck’s goal of providing employees with a safe and healthy work environment.

 

As Greenheck’s EHS Manager, you will:

  • Manage the maintenance and implementation of safety programs, regulatory compliance, and pertinent EHS initiatives under the direction of the Global EHS Manager
  • Lead the investigation of incidents and ensure CAPA’s are completed to minimize future exposures and proper records/documents are maintained
  • Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company EHS policies, procedures and practices
  • Provide personnel with comprehensive and relevant information and training on EHS systems and procedures, including advising on equipment purchase and workplace practices
  • Design and deliver training sessions on key areas of production activity in relation to EHS and support the delivery of other training programs, including new hire onboarding and monthly safety meeting topics
  • Maintain internal and regulatory reporting including data collection and reporting including but not limited to air, storm water and surface water discharge
  • Ensure the company meets regulatory compliance obligations with federal and state OSHA/EPA
  • Serve as secondary contact for all regulatory agencies
  • Keep abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that impact the organization
  • Support Greenheck’s mission to provide a safe and healthy work environment
  • Participate in meetings to discuss workplace safety and regulatory concerns and opportunities
  • Actively role model all company environmental, health and safety standards
  • Support regional operations in all aspects related to EHS/Facilities initiatives
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Plant Managers, Supervisors and production personnel
  • Inform plant managers and supervisors  on matters relating to, environmental, health and safety and provide possible solutions
  • Contribute ideas, suggestions, and recommendations for the development, progress and improvement of the EHS Department in daily operations and future growth
  • Perform special projects as required
  • Required travel 20% to regional locations

 

A qualified candidate will have:

  • +5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Flexibility to be on call or work off hours as need, including (but not limited to) traveling to our regional locations 20% of the time
  • Previous experience working with local regulatory agencies is preferred
