Position Logistics: Due to the nature of responsibilities in the HR Generalist role, this is not a remote or hybrid-remote opportunity. This position will be an on-site role with flexibility to work from home on an as-needed basis. Also to be noted, this role will need to have flexibility to have visibility for our 3rd shift on a weekly basis.

 

About Your Opportunity:

 

As the HR Generalist, you will support multiple business units and serve as the subject matter expert in in HR policies and procedures. You will serve as support to shop and office team members as well as business unit leaders. You will be responsible for handling employee relations, leveraging employee engagement, partnering with  leaders to manage talent and retention, administering benefits, onboarding and special projects as requested.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Partner with site leadership to identify strategies to increase employee retention
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities
  • Participates in employee-related investigations, reviews, reprimands and terminations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employee succession plans
  • Ensure business unit's compliance in state and federal laws by providing consistency in all HR policies and procedures
  • Respond to employee questions, suggestions and concerns
  • Leverage data to strategically drive business decisions
  • Acts as a resource of HR related topics for business units' leadership team

 

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but a combination of experience and education will be considered
  • +1 year of HR business partner related activities, specifically in navigating through employee relations is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally to drive company goals
  • Consistently staying up to date with topics related to human resources
