Designs, plans, and implements corporate benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Responsible for reviewing programs, suggesting modifications, and ensuring achievement of competitive market position and other goals identified by the organization. Responsible for ensuring programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective. Ensures the benefits programs enhance the organization's ability to recruit and retain employees.


As the Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Responsible for overall benefits strategy and programs, including plan design, vendor selection/management, communication, and compliance.
  • Analyzes and provides recommendations on the organization's current benefits, as well as recommends new programs, to ensure a balance between control of costs, compliance, and the Company’s employer of choice philosophy.
  • Prepares economics related to union negotiations on benefits issues.
  • Performs analysis of benefits plans, including modeling plan scenarios and fiscal impact of the plans.
  • Directly supervises the Greenheck Group’s benefits team.
  • Develops and performs analysis of key benefit metrics.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to upper management.
  • Works with outside vendors to customize and implement systems for the administration of various benefits programs. Serves as the primary liaison for benefit partners such as onsite clinic.
  • Identifies opportunities and implements plans for benefits education and communication, including new hire communication, open enrollment, and other initiatives
  • Oversees the Company’s leave of absence programs and vendor/partners.
  • Plays a key role in setting short- and long-term benefit goals and strategies.
  • Assists in the ongoing effort to determine and maintain current benefit trends, pricing and legislative requirements, and programs.



  • Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program in business, management, accounting or human resources management.
  • Between 7-10 years of work experience in the field of benefits is required. 
  • Certification/License – Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Excellent analytical ability is required
