Your Opportunity:

As the Payroll Analyst at Greenheck, you will be responsible for administering company payroll, processing and reporting activities to provide team members accurate and timely payment of wages due in compliance with state and federal laws. Your attention to detail, accuracy and focus on providing excellent customer service will directly impact the overall continued organizational goal of being an employer of choice across all of our Greenheck Group locations.

General Summary:

 

This position is will be a subject matter expert in payroll and related compliance, systems, and integrations with a skill for improving processes while executing with accuracy.

 

Serves as a subject matter expert in payroll design and implementation to optimize existing processes and lead the adoption of new internal and external opportunities to maximize efficiencies.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide support and troubleshooting for highly complex technical issues for payroll, time & attendance systems by working with the HRIS team and technical partners to effectively troubleshoot, investigate, analyze and identify support issues and root cause.
  • Identify payroll process improvements to optimize existing processes and create efficiencies.
  • Process payroll for domestic locations. Includes accurate entry of all necessary data, running batch processing routines and the printing and mailing of physical checks and/or direct deposit notices.
  • Prepares reports from HRIS systems for various teams as requested.
  • Participate in or lead several projects that relate directly to payroll and time & attendance systems.
  • Act as a UltiPro & SAP expert with deep knowledge of current functionalities.
  • Contribute to change management efforts related to HR Technology systems.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by performing regular maintenance and system audits.
  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal taxation, wage and hour laws, and changes in company policy and contract language as they pertain to pay rate and other applicable changes.
  • Assist with processing unemployment, state and federal income tax as necessary; electronically file; process monthly reports; and keep update with current rate changes, new jurisdictions, setting up new counties, and verifying no changes at current locations.
  • Interpret appropriate company policies affecting payroll activities, using manager and human resources department for guidance.
  • Prepares monthly union dues payments.
  • Train new supervisors on time and attendance policies and procedures.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance required.
  • Between 3-5 years of work experience in the field of payroll or finance is required.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Excellent analytical skills are required.
  • 5 years of progressively more responsible work experience.
  • Experience with UltiPro and/or SAP is preferred.
  • Expert Microsoft Office product knowledge.
