General Summary:

Front line technical support for Greenheck’s commercial exhaust fan products with a specific emphasis on motors and controls.

 

Greenheck Group's PRV business unit manufactures a variety of roof ventilators, and they help protect commercial roof systems from heat or moisture damage. This business unit is faced with many tasks like fabricating component parts of ventilators to building units that go on top of restaurant, hotel, and school buildings! The products are known for their longevity, and this close-knit team is a friendly and knowledgeable group of professionals.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide technical support via phone and email to meet corporate guidelines.
  • Provide product technical and application support to both internal and external customers.
  • Provide Quotes for Special Design Requests (SDRs)
  • Ability to gather information and find solutions to field problems.
  • May travel to resolve field problems.
  • Identify and find solutions to field application problems.
  • Working familiarity of existing literature to provide input for marketing changes and customer support as requested.
  • Provide input on product roadmap, including new products and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Become familiar with the competitor’s products and apply this knowledge to the company’s advantage.
  • Deliver routine and internal rep trainings, Education Center Tours, and Factory Tours.
  • Responsible for Computer Aided Product Selection (CAPS) testing and providing input for future enhancements.

 

 

Business Unit Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Troubleshoot customer problems that include mechanical, electrical/controls and motor/drive technologies

 

 

 

Job Qualifications: 

Work requires extensive technical or specialized training such as that which would be acquired in the first two or three years of college or technical school.

 

Between 1-3 years of work experience is required.

 

Background in electro-mechanical systems is highly preferred, either through field experience or education.  

 

Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, relay/ladder logic and a fundamental understanding of AC power and DC control voltages
