Your Opportunity:

Greenheck Group is hiring a Regulatory Affairs Co-op to work from January – August 2023. In this highly visible role, you will work closely with the Director of Regulatory Business Development in identifying, prioritizing, and communicating industry standards, codes, regulations, utility programs, etc. to Greenheck business entities.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with general managers, engineering managers, product managers and related team members to identify and develop priorities regarding opportunities and potential business risks related to regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that leverage regulations, codes, and performance certification programs to create a preference for Greenheck products and establish Greenheck as the market leader on the specific subject matter.
  • Track changes and updates to building codes and equipment regulations directly effecting Greenheck’s products
  • Network with external entities in the industry (trade associations, regulatory bodies, etc.) to assure Greenheck is a trusted and reliable business partner.
  • Assist with technical articles, white papers, sales collateral, and training materials related to items above.

Recent areas of work include:

  • HVAC System Design requirements to mitigate risk of COVID-19 and assure safe Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and overall Indoor Environmental Quality(IEQ).
  • Energy efficiency regulations and the effect on HVAC equipment design.
  • Climate Change and impact of HFC (Hydrofluorocarbon) phasedown requirements to reduce building carbon footprint.
  • Hurricane and high-wind test standards and code requirements for rooftop equipment.
  • Fire and Smoke Life Safety Code requirements.
  • Seismic test standards and code requirements.

 

What you should have:

  • Enrollment in a related bachelor's degree program (Engineering, Business, Regulatory Affairs, Pre-Law, Construction Management).
  • Experience with public speaking and presentations preferred.
  • Strong math background preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.

  • This position can be remote or in-person at any of our Greenheck Group campus locations.

While participating in a Greenheck Group college program position, you will:

  • Be evaluated on your performance with a mid-term and final evaluation.
  • Present your projects and experiences to our company leaders and executives at the end of your term.
  • Participate in Fundamental Fridays - exposure to our business and business leaders. 
  • Have the opportunity to take part in company sponsored volunteering.
