  • Assist Segment Manager with input for strategic planning, maintaining and communicating product forecasts, and creating marketing plans.
  • Use 80/15/5 tools to analyze and reshape our product offering to meet market needs.
  • Regularly gather information and analyze trends, drivers, competitors, technologies, codes and research to ensure that our products are competitively positioned to best capitalize on market growth opportunities.
  • Provide technical support via phone and e-mail for both internal and external customers in the areas of selection and application.
  • Analyze common special design requests and determine a plan for standardization of the design.
  • Evaluate and identify special design requests for feasibility and alignment with business unit objectives.
  • Work with sales and engineering departments to establish priorities and schedules for product development activities.
  • Prepare product studies or business cases for new and redesigned products in order to help define the project scope.  Create product scope documents and analyze market price points.
  • Ensure product profitability meets or exceeds business unit targets.
  • Create and maintain marketing materials for example: case studies, application guides, sales literature, IOMs and presentations.
  • Develop and execute solutions to complex field problems.
  • Participate in industry related associations as appropriate.
  • Develop training programs and present to internal and external customers. Conduct product training seminars and product center visits.
  • Assist with planning and coordination of trade shows and may be required to attend.
  • May supervise direct reports within the department.
  • Manage Computer Aided Product Selection (CAPS) planning. Coordinate/assist with testing. 
 
 
 

Job Qualifications: 

Bachelors Degree or higher in a business or engineering discipline is required. MBA or interest in attaining an MBA a plus.

 

Minimum 3-5 years of related experience required.

 

Available to travel up to 15% of the time.
