General Summary:

The IT Quality Assurance - Senior reports to the IT Director and is a member of the company’s IT department.  Primary responsibilities are assuring consistent quality of production applications by developing and enforcing testing best practices, test plans, validating processes and providing documentation.  This is a unique opportunity allowing for green field creation of an automated testing program. This is a remote based role.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document test cases and test plans based off of user requirements or knowledge of system’s features and requirements
  • Maintain an automated testing program
  • Execution of manual test cases
  • Experience with custom development applications
  • Develop and document quality assurance standards for software testing, aligned with industry best practices. This includes models for building software test plans and test scripts, both manual and automated.
  • Document bugs in issue management tool
  • Update and execute load, stress, and performance testing as well as assist development staff to resolve issues
  • Ensure and approve that code version/release code base is ready for production
  • Documentation of systems and processes
  • Ensure proper tracking, oversight, and communication of QA efforts on each project, including regression testing, smoke testing, and functional test cases
  • In addition to leading the testing efforts, must also be a hands-on practitioner, including but not limited to:
    • Guiding and participating in bug testing, identification, and problem solving
    • Finding bugs, defects, regressions and verifying fixes
    • Analyzing test results and communicating with other teams to resolve software defects
    • Communicating test results and ongoing needs to management
  • Stay informed of industry trends and continuously improve environment and processes
  • Other responsibilities as required



  • 4-year degree in information technology field or related discipline
  • 7-10  years of experience in an IT Quality Assurance role
  • Knowledge and/or proficiency in full-system testing automation tools (e.g. qTest, JMeter, Telerik, Selenium, xUnit, C#) is strongly preferred
  • Experience in IT test automation process and approach is preferred
  • Experience in Behavior Driven Development testing is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and/or proficiency in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) or Azure Dev Ops is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office tools
