About this opportunity:

Accurex is adding a Strategic Accounts Manager to onbboard and maintain assigned accounts that would overall achieve growth and profitability objectives. As the Strategic Accounts Manager, you must develop key relationships and facilitate effective communication between the customer, end users and internal business teams. You will support the daily customer needs and interactions from design, quoting, placing orders, and ensuring the overall execution and success of the projects from concept to operation. To be successful as the Strategic Accounts manager, you must work extremely well with people and having exceptional organizational, project management and communication skills.


What you'll be responsible for:

  • As the first point of contact with the company, must be able to facilitate answers for all customer questions and concerns.
  • Primary responsibility to establish and maintain relationships with key individuals and teams for the assigned customers.
  • Large accounts require involvement of other personnel and business units. It is the strategic account managers role to facilitate and coordinate required support.
  • Develop technical product application solutions for customers projects
  • Responsible for negotiating internally and externally to find mutually beneficial solutions to field problems. Escalating problems when required to business development leadership for additional support.
  • Design, quote, and place customer orders as applicable via Computer Aided Product Selection Software (CAPS)
  • Constantly evaluate our position against the competition, their products, prices and delivery systems to ensure our company is positioned for success.
  • Identify product application, value engineering and process improvement opportunities drive growth, profitability, and mutual benefit to the customer.
  • Work collaboratively with business development leadership to create and or evolve appropriate sales strategies for the customer. Must clearly identify needs and opportunities to meet those needs.
  • Maintain and provide comprehensive reports on customers inclusive of forecasts and sales.
  • May assist with planning/coordination and attendance of trade shows.
  • Work with business development leadership to coordinate pricing levels with each BU to ensure profitability targets are met or exceeded.
  • Provide and/or arrange customer product training as required


Some things we think you should know:


  • Travel, as required, to visit assigned customers.  Travel will be approx. 10%.
  • You will be expected to participate in customer dinners and events while not traveling. This will include some evenings and weekends.
  • This position has the ability to be remote for the right candidate but prefer this role to reside at our Schofield, WI.


Qualified candidates will have: 

  • Minimum 5 -10 years of experience required in sales or HVAC application support.
  • Bachelor's degree in related business or engineering field desired
  • Ability to understand, conceptualize and communicate technical problems and solutions with technical products and systems.
  • Good analytical ability required.  Analysis requires research to obtain new information to completely analyze problematic data.  Interpretation of data to identify trends in situations where the problems are complex.
  • Strong project management ability combined with excellent people skills
  • Friendly and outgoing with a positive attitude
  • Competitive and assertive without being pushy
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexible – able to rapidly adjust to constantly changing priorities
  • Self-Starter - Ability to determine your goals and priorities
  • Excellent listener
