We know that COVID has interrupted traditional college plans for some of our team member’s children, and to reduce our lead-times to a more competitive level, we are offering temporary full time production positions to team members' children. The following requirements apply for these temporary opportunities, though this list may not be all inclusive:

  1. The student must be a dependent of a current employee and must turn 18 on or before November 30, 2020 to work on the shop floor.
  2. Students must be enrolled in school or planning to be enrolled in school in 2021 (spring or fall semester).
  3. Pre-employment drug tests will be required.
  4. Student must have a high school diploma, GED or HSED
  5. Students working in the shop must follow the rules and regulations in the contract.
  6. Students working in the shop will work 40 hours on 2nd or 3rd shift, with training potentially on 1st shift. If a student is not open to working any shift, they will not be offered employment. This temporary employment opportunity is not a seniority-based system. The student will be placed where needed and the student will have the best chance to be successful.
  7. The student must be available and commit to work through January (timeframe could be longer, depending on business need)
  8. Students will not be working in the same area as their parent. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the company.
  9. The student is responsible for their own transportation. If they are restricted by carpooling, then priority will be given to other students without restrictions.
  10. During the hiring process, Human Resources will not discuss with parents the individual merits or qualifications of their children. Each student will be evaluated based on their own merit and positions will be awarded based on their qualifications. There is no preference given to the seniority of the parent.
  11. Students will be under an attendance policy of 3 occurrences. More than 3 occurrences will result in termination and could impact eligibility for rehire.
  12. Students must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job - lifting 50 lbs without any restrictions.
