Greenheck Group has an immediate Co-op opprtunity for a hands-on Test Engineer. The position will be full time hours from January through August 2021, with the potential to start immediate in the fall of 2020 on a part time or full time basis. 

 

Test Engineer Co-op

Responsible for building prototypes, conducting tests, and documenting test results. Position will be nearly entirely “hands-on” working in the engineering test lab.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of new products and support of existing products through R&D testing of products.-Work with engineers in determining test procedures and expected results.
  • Identify issues and propose solutions based on test results.
  • Design and Assemble test units and set up tests.
  • Document test results.
  • Maintain a safe and clean test lab.

Typical Projects:  Conducting performance tests such as airflow, heating, cooling, sound, wind driven rain tests. Assist with prototype builds and test setups.  Other testing includes component testing, field problem testing, and value engineering testing.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experiences working with products or hobbies that require a mechanical aptitude. 
  • Be a hands on worker and learner as the testing requires prototype building and testing set ups. 
  • Have a high level of aptitude in problem solving as testing can be trial and error.  
  • Preferrably have been actively involved in campus clubs that are part of designing/building projects.
