Your opportunity:
Establish prototype designs and set up tests, including testing of company product designs to ensure engineering has accurate information on product quality and performance. Perform interplant trucking of prototypes and crating for outbound product shipments.
What you’ll be doing:
- With limited supervision, assemble prototype units to print specifications from internal customers and fabricate parts as necessary.
- Prepare set up for testing of units.
- Perform testing in 1-2 key areas of air, sound, vibration, balance, motor, high temp and/or structural.
- Document test results to provide to internal customers and external third party customers (ie. AMCA / UL).
- Provide test data to internal and external customers in paper or electronic format.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on test stands.
- Keep work area clean and safe for co-workers and visitors.
- Following established timelines for project completion. Some communication with internal customers regarding testing schedule.
What you should have:
- Required 0-3 years of relevant work experience in Internal quality or test environment with three plus years of similar outside experience.
- 2 Year Associate Degree in mechanical/electrical discipline required.
- Ability to read a blueprint, operating hand tools, ability to lift 40lbs, internal tow motor safety, internal electrical safety course.
Travel:
- Minimal travel is required in this role.
