General Summary:

Responsible for the human resource needs in our North Carolina locations and ongoing project based employee initiatives. Business unit support involvement includes, but is not limited to recruitment for exempt and non-exempt level positions, employee relations, job evaluations, training, performance management, and special projects. Provides input and assists in the development of policies and procedures and is responsible to ensure consistent application of all policies and procedures within the supported business unit.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Works directly with management, supervisors and human resource staff to effectively design, implement and promote positive employee relations programs to maximize employee retention and engagement.
  • Insures compliance with state and federal laws through efficient administration of company HR policies, procedures, programs and initiatives.
  • Leads the recruitment and selection efforts across the Tulsa campus. Assists with the orientation sessions.
  • Conducts employee meetings and assists in training and development sessions on various topics as needed. Spends an adequate amount of time on the production floor with the workforce, and conducts listening sessions.
  • Maintains visibility with all employees and addresses any issues and concerns that are identified in a timely and professional manner including change management facilitation and organizational consulting.
  • Ensures the development and implementation of specific development plans to address performance issues.
  • Monitors business unit compensation, to ensure equity and consistency with company guidelines.
  • Assists with succession planning for the business unit. Works with managers to develop action plans for personnel development.
  • Participates in operations meetings and goal deployment activities within the business units and advises management on all Human Resource related topics.
  • Champions HR and business unit continuous improvement efforts utilizing lean tools.

 

 

 

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of five years progressive experience in a HR generalist role; manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Direct hands on experience in all aspects of Human Resources including leadership and employee development, recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and employment law.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Available to work flexible hours to provide support on all shifts as needed.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
