General Summary:

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of building and equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Confirm to all safety guidelines while performing duties and operating equipment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on building and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Assist in GPS Pit Stops (Kaizen events)
• Create new or replacement parts for various machines via existing fabrication equipment
• Assist manufacturing engineers in specifying required repair parts
• Utilize maintenance software daily for prioritizing work and recording results
• Participate in training as required by new processes and equipment to safely perform maintenance and operations
• Daily preventative maintenance and housekeeping of own work area and tools
• Safely operate material handling equipment using proper rigging techniques, as needed
• Maintain daily housekeeping
• Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED, required
• Vocational/Technical training and/or approved Apprenticeship Program, preferred
• Between 6-12 months of prior industrial maintenance experience or required field
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and/or industrial aptitude
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and/or mechanical drawings, preferred

Physical Demands:

• Must lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis
• Standing for a minimum of 8 hours per day
• Continuous lifting, kneeling, pulling, bending, etc.
