Your Opportunity:

As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Greenheck Group you will provide leadership and expertise in managing Greenheck’s annual capital equipment budget for our business units. You will work closely with each business unit (BU) and finance to ensure proper roll-up of the capital budget. Assist Greenheck with managing relationships with commercial equipment suppliers. Seek out opportunities to upgrade equipment, adding higher levels of automation and overall process improvements to our operations. Support and mentor business unit manufacturing engineers in equipment procurement.

 

Additional responsibilities include working with BU’s in determining if assets are an external purchase, internal build, or a combination to ensure highest ROI investment. If purchase is the best alternative, investigate alternatives and negotiate the best terms and conditions. Support DFMA and innovation initiatives with a strong collaborative mentality. 

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide technical expertise to manage cost, quality and customer service, while ensuring safety and compliance with government regulations.
  • Work with business units and finance to develop and maintain the annual capital budget. 
  • Present budgets to executive level team members.
  • Work with business unit leaders, engineering and manufacturing team members to develop and implement new machinery, tooling, and processes to reduce labor content and improve the quality of manufacturing.
  • Stay abreast of new innovative machinery, tooling, and processes to maintain our position as a market leader and educate the organization.
  • Maintain knowledge of innovation in technology to improve Greenheck's competitive position and future strategic initiatives.
  • Investigate, make recommendations, and negotiate terms on new equipment purchases.
  • Work with business unit engineering managers to provide input into the manufacturability of product that improves costs and supports DFMA culture.
  • Support and participate in value engineering initiatives.
  • Manages machine capacity analysis for the applicable business areas.
  • Hire, manage, support, and develop team.

 

What you should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
  • Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with capital equipment procurement is required
  • Strong project management skills required
  • SAP Skills is a plus
  • Lean manufacturing and manufacturing automation knowledge
  • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel to regional locations; both domestic and international
