General Summary:

The Controls Assembly position is responsible for properly mounting and assembling components, pull, and land wires to ensure proper operation of electrical components according to electrical schematic, customer, and engineering specifications.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Comply to all safety guidelines while performing essential duties/responsibilities
  • Review unit assembly drawings and electrical schematics to develop a strategy to identify placement of components and sensors
  • Wire control panels
  • Mounting and installing components
  • Pre-assemble component parts, as required
  • Locate and stage necessary components as needed throughout the assembly process
  • Properly identify and understand products and component functions
  • Trouble shoot wiring and component issues
  • Maintain daily housekeeping
  • Learning and training other positions within the same labor grade

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED, required
  • Between 6-12 months of prior assembly or manufacturing experience, required
  • Ability to be extremely attentive to detail, required
  • Ability to follow logic and problem solve, required
  • Ability to operate basic hand/power tools and read measuring devices, required
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints and/or mechanical drawings, preferred

Physical Demands & Travel Requirements:

  • Must lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis
  • Standing for a minimum of 8 hours per day
  • Continuous fine motor skills/finger dexterity
  • Initial training in our Kings Mountain, NC facility will be required, approximately 3-4 weeks
