This Position is: 70% Safety - 10% Environmental - 20% Facilities Management/New Construction


General Summary:

The primary focus for this position is to ensure regulatory compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations at a federal, state and local level and to provide support and resources to all facilities. Provide direction for all operational functions within the facility including; preventative planned maintenance of buildings and grounds, campus improvements and office enhancements. Manage outside contractors in support of the Facilities including maintaining contracts, construction progress, provide quality assurance, monitors project budgets and to discuss/resolve issues


Corporate Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Support Greenheck’s 5 year EHS road map
  • Implementation of EHS/Facilities programs, ensure regulatory compliance, support and sustain EHS initiatives
  • Conduct, coordinate and track various EHS training to support organizations EHS programs
  • Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company EHS/Facilities policies, procedures and practices
  • Maintain internal and regulatory reporting including data collection and reporting including but not limited to air, storm water and surface water discharge
  • Ensure the company meets regulatory compliance obligations with OSHA, EPA, at Federal, State and local levels and local and state building codes
  • Serve as secondary contact for all regulatory agencies
  • Maintain compliance with permits, government regulations and other industry practices
  • Stay informed of any safety, environmental, building codes, law or regulation changes that impact the organization
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Plant Managers, Supervisors and production personnel
  • Perform special projects as required
  • Lead day to day facility operations and provide direction to our internal team members as well as outside contracted services



   Business Unit Specific Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Conduct EHS/Facilities training for onboarding of new hires to ensure regulatory compliance with Federal, State agencies, P&P’s specific to GFC and BU’s
  • Assist in conducting EHS/Facilities monthly audits, identifying violations and applying abatement periods
  • Train and educate production and management personnel specific to the regulatory requirements under OSHA, such as LO/TO, HazCom, Material Handling, Inspection, Incident Investigations etc. and Greenheck’s corporate P&P’s
  • Train and educate Safety Teams following Greenheck’s corporate directive
  • Participate in the investigation of incidents, and ensure CAPA’s are completed to minimize future exposures and proper records/documents are maintained
  • Participate in meetings to discuss workplace safety, environmental and facilities concerns and opportunities for improvements
  • Manage all security/video systems, supporting the “secured facility” initiative
  • Assists in identifying and resolving facility deficiencies, including and determining whether building systems are operating appropriately, and insuring that the appearance of our facilities are acceptable and meet GFC standards
  • Provide immediate direction to outside contractors and must be able to clearly explain the needs of project and expected outcomes
  • Ensure cleaning and maintaining of the grounds and buildings meet the needs of the facilities and are maintained to the highest level


Job Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED for Consideration; 3 - 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to present to an audience
  • Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Word, and Excel applications
  • Ability to be on call or work off hours as needed
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • Analytical problem solving, written and verbal communications
  • Experience working with local regulatory agencies preferred
  • Contribute to strong positive employee relations (internal customer service) at all levels within the organization
