Who We’re Looking For:

Greenheck Group is expanding to the Tulsa area, and we’re searching for a Forming Operator to join our team in August.  This person would be based out of Tulsa, OK and would train at our North Carolina facility. There will be relocation or travel for the first few months to North Carolina for training.

General Summary:

The Forming Operator is responsible for the set-up, adjustment, and operation of the various forming equipment. Other duties consist of implementing proper process procedures, loading programs according to job specifications, monitoring operations, and addressing issues with parts and machinery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate the Schroeder Panel Folder EVO MAK 4, Cincinnati 230PF, 90PF and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators.
  • Confirm to all safety guidelines while performing duties and operating equipment
  • Identify work to be performed via work center priority within company systems
  • Set-up machine, perform tool changes and have a working knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Select proper punches /dies and verify proper machine adjustments to conform to various types and thickness of materials
  • Load standard programs into machine control from program directory
  • Conduct quality specification check using calipers, squares, and protractors
  • Stage formed parts on material handling equipment in preparation for downstream operations
  • Maintain daily housekeeping and operator preventative maintenance tasks
  • Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED, required
  • Between 6-12 months prior manufacturing experience (sheet metal and press brake experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven math and computer skills
  • Ability to read measuring devices, use caliper and thickness gauges. 
  • Ability to distinguish between various material types and thickness.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of concentration to ensure quality work
  • Reliability, effective communication skills and a strong team player
  • Ability to read blueprints (basic knowledge of AutoCad preferred)
  • Ability to travel to both North Carolina and Ohio for initial training

Physical Demands:

  • Must lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Standing for a minimum of 8 hours per day
  • Continuous lifting, kneeling, pulling, bending, etc.
