Your opportunity:
The Manufacturing Engineer optimizes factory costs, quality, and customer service through the conception, development, and implementation of new or improved manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, material flow, plant layout, or product design.
What you’ll be doing:
- Specify and justify basic capital expenditures.
- Purchase and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations.
- Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Recognize and recommend design and process changes to improve manufacturability.
- Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, cell layout and machinery efficiency.
- Provide summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning.
- Participate in Lean and safety initiatives.
- Manage basic individual projects in accordance with predetermined completion dates.
- Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
- Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies.
Some things we think you should know:
- Coordinate, implement, and present training initiatives to support manufacturing team members and Lean efforts.
- Develop and implement new team member training as needed.
- Lead and participates in benchmarking activities around lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and automation.
- Minimal travel is required in this role.
What you should have:
- Required 0-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering.
- Required 4 Year / bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Basic CAD skills strongly preferred.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Lean concepts preferred.
