Your opportunity:
The Senior Technical Trainer will design and deliver training to team members. The Senior Technical Trainer will be responsible for enhancing productivity, reducing costs in operations, and implementing new or improved manufacturing processes to meet organizational objectives and industry best practices.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develops, organizes, and conducts subject matter training courses that consist of classroom and hands-on training.
- Assign training assignments to Technical Trainers and Technical Training Specialist.
- Responsible for equipment training, troubleshooting, and support for manufacturing facilities.
- Facilitate Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Work documentation process for the organization.
- Act as a liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing in the development of best manufacturing practices.
- Works with team members and management to troubleshoot process problems and determine training needs.
- Identifies and leads productivity improvement projects.
- Develop and implement a process to investigate and resolve corrective action requests related to process problems.
- Ability to program technical equipment (press brakes, robotic welders, etc.).
- Apply and communicate Lean principles to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
- Coaches and mentors team members.
- Determines manufacturing related “best practices” and makes sure they are consistently applied throughout the organization.
- Provide leadership during the install and startup of new equipment.
- Collaborate with others to research new equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Lead and support safety, 5S, and Lean initiatives.
- May have direct reports.
Some things we think you should know:
- Travel is required 10-25% of time.
What you should have:
- Required 4-6 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing.
- Required High School or GED.
- Preferred 2 Year / associate degree in engineering technology, training, or a related field of study.
- LEAN training.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and SAP.
- Familiarity with machine programming.
- Project management skills required – ability to lead projects.
