General Summary:

The individual in this position will be responsible to enhance productivity, reduce costs in operations, and implement new or improved manufacturing processes, equipment, methods and product design.

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops, organizes, and conducts subject matter training courses that consist of classroom and hands-on training.
  • Responsible for equipment training, troubleshooting, and support for manufacturing facilities.
  • Coaches and mentors employees.
  • Coordinates Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Work documentation process for the organization.
  • Provide leadership for systems to support subject matter.
  • Identifies and leads productivity improvement projects.
  • Works with employees and management to troubleshoot process problems and determine training needs.
  • Develop and implement a process to investigate and resolve corrective action requests related to process problems.
  • Act as a liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing in the development of best manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to program technical equipment (press brakes, robotic welders, etc.)
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates superior knowledge and experience in subject matter.
  • Project management skills – ability to lead projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both one-on-one and with groups.
  • Ability to organize work and keep records.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, SAP and familiarity with CNC programming preferred.
  • Available for movement to alternate shifts as needed for training.
  • Available for travel and support to regional and international facilities 25 – 50% of the time.
  • Must complete GPS training and champion certification.
  • Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field equivalent to acquiring a 2 year technical degree.
  • Between 1 and 3 years of work experience is required.
