The Details: The Welder position is responsible for setting, fitting, and welding various assemblies to be used in the construction of our air handling equipment. This position is 1st shift and will work on our Tulsa Campus.
Shift: 7AM-3PM
Pay: $23.91

What will I be doing?
- Maintains a high focus on safety and quality within the department
- Identify work to be performed via MII or SAP work center priority and access unit and assembly drawings
- Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements
- Size up components and verify they are within specified tolerances
- Set up weld equipment for specific task to be performed
- Weld components using proper equipment and techniques
- Grind and finish welds to make aesthetically appealing
- Operate material handling equipment as needed, based on safety guidelines
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks (5S) and preventative maintenance tasks
- High level of focus and concentration level to ensure quality work and to avoid safety hazards
What I will bring:
- Welders will have 6-12 months of welding experience
- Basic Math & Computer skills, required
- Ability to pass welding test on material in use
- Ability to safely operate equipment (welder, torch, plasma cutter, grinder, material handling equipment)
- Ability to operate basic hand/power tools and read measuring devices
- Ability distinguish the various thickness and types of material
- Strong attention to detail and high focus on safety and quality
- Ability to communicate effectively
Physical Demands:
- Must lift up to 50-75 lbs. on a routine basis
- Stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day
- Continuous lifting, kneeling, pulling, bending, etc
